Ger wins Lakelands Trophy at Rush

Owing to the ongoing redevelopment of The European Club, the members of the Press Radio and TV Golf Society travelled to Rush on Monday 23rd March, where Ger Coghlan was declared the winner of The Lakelands Trophy for 2026 on a countback from Elaine Healy, after both had posted scores of 43pts.
Despite the cool breeze blowing up the coast, playing conditions were pleasant enough, and those who made the trip to this delightful 9-hole venue in North Co.Dublin experienced a very enjoyable day out.
It has been quite a number of years since the PRTV last visited Rush and the hope is that the gap won't be quite as long until we are back there again.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the recent passing of another of the Society's former members , John Keane. John was a very accomplished golfer and one of life's true gentlemen. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. May he Rest in Peace.
